Squirrel Scouts

Squirrels are our newest section, launched on 9th September 2021. Currently we have two Scout Groups with a Squirrel Drey, one located in Chingford and one in Walthamstow. Both are currently full with waiting lists. If you are interested in starting a Squirrel Drey or helping with one then please contact our District Commissioner at dc@wf-scouts.org.uk.

Squirells can be male or female and aged between 4 and 6 years old.

Squirrels are our youngest members, and generally meet for an hour per week. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of being with their friends.

Structure

Squirrels meet with their leaders and are often in Teams for games and activities.

Activities

Squirrels work towards Challenge Awards and Activity Badges with their friends. They will spend time both indoors and outdoors having fun.

Uniform

Squirrels may wear a red sweatshirt with a Group scarf (often called a necker) and a woggle.
